The Ontario Autism Coalition formed in 2005 and has grown into an Ontario-wide organization with over 600 members. The OAC has organized over 20 rallies to draw public attention to the need for publicly funded programs that effectively meet the needs of individuals in the Autism community. We have also met with countless government policy advisors, senior provincial Cabinet Ministers and M.P.P.’s to make our case.
The OAC is committed to placing autism issues front and centre in the upcoming provincial election campaign. We will be hosting events, issuing press releases and organizing parents throughout the upcoming weeks to ensure that politicians from all political parties are aware of our concerns.
We are seeking an Event Coordinator:
·Work with the OAC Executive Committee to define acitivites and events
·Coordinate logistics with Local Event Organizers to ensure event success
·Lever OAC Support services where possible to add value to event participant recruitment
·Report on Events and define best practices to maximize success of upcoming events over time.
