A formal credentialing system in Canada which mirrors the International standards in the field of ABA would protect and serve the public interest by ensuring that those providing ABA services to children with autism provide high quality, competent and ethical services. A formal credentialing system in Canada which mirrors the International standards in the field of ABA would protect and serve the public interest by ensuring that those providing ABA services to children with autism provide high quality, competent and ethical services. Unfortunately, there is no formal Canadian credentialing system for ABA professionals in Ontario at the present time.
