According to Ontario Provincial Government Statistics there are approximately 10,000 children with Autism in Ontario enrolled in provincially funded programs. As of March 2007 there were 2110 children enrolled in the Autism Intervention Program (AIP). As of March 2007 there were 2110 children enrolled in the Autism Intervention Program (AIP). Approximately 7,000 children with Autism of school age are enrolled in the education system. These statistics do not include children who have not yet been assessed, have been assessed with Autism but not enrolled for some reason in the Provincial Program, or who are not enrolled in the education system for some reason.
