Kathy Yanchus – My View: For all the provincial government’s hype about the benefits of its new $333-million autism program, parents of autistic children aren’t buying it. Part of the Liberals’ plan is to abruptly cut children who are now five and older from the IBI program wait list — where many have “languished” for several years — despite pleas from despondent parents. Some families have undergone incredible financial hardship as they pour all their monetary resources into private therapy for their children while they wait for access to IBI.
